I can say I have bought a couple of those kinds of products. Mostly for having the perfect hair or the nice milky skin that all those actresses have. Did it work? Heck no, I still have the same curly, wild looking hair, and the same skin with the dark circles under the eyes. I guess we all in a way want to believe that we can all look perfect, so we buy these products hoping for those kinds of promises that we see on T.V.
The one thing that they don't tell us is that everyone is different and that they you are not going to have the same kind of results as shown on T.V. Is that fair to us the buyer? Well i guess that is. There is nothing saying that everything shown on T.V., internet, and ect., has to be the truth. What ever makes the product sell is what they will tell you. They use our inseccurities to sell their products. We are the dumb ones who buy it to it, without doing research on that product first to see if it is true. Then they tell you that if it doesn't work you can get your money back. Yeah right! When you get the product there are other guide lines you have to follow before that can happen. And how many of us actually follow those guide lines. I know I sure don't. When you buy a product, like for instance a weight loss pill, all you think you have to do is take the pill and the pounds will melt away. NOT!!! That is what they say in their ad, but what you don't know until you buy it is you have to do a certain diet that they send you and plus a work out. Think that is not fair that they don't tell you that in the commercial. Well that is how they sell it and you don't ask for your money back. It is really smart if you think of it. But not fair by any means.
I guess we as consumers need to stop believing in what we think is the quick fix. If it is too good to be true then it usually is. We as men and women need to stop looking for an easy fix and just need to accept each other for who we are. If the man up stairs wanted us to all be perfect then he would have made us that way. Today's society has shown our young people that if you are not skinny, not tan, and don't have big boobs, then their is something wrong with you. That is unfair to our young people because that causes alot more problems like: eatting problems, low self-esteem, and depression with our young people. We need to have real role models, not fake ones who are air brushed. I know I am rambling, but I have a teenage daughter and sometimes I hear what they are talking about and it makes me mad, sad, and worried as a mother. All I can do is reassure them that they are perfect the way they are and if someone tells them different then they are not happy with themselves. If that makes sense.
